What is the weather like in May/June?

 

Weather in May/June is usually very pleasant - warm and dry. The average temperature ranges from around 28-32 degree Celsius in the southern region where we are located with most days being sunny and warm. 

 

Do I need to book a health insurance?

We highly recommend to book a travel health insurance.

 

Do I need a visa?

Generally, a foreign citizen who wishes to enter the Kingdom of Thailand by air is granted a 30 day tourist visa on arrival.

 

Once on the island, how do I get to the Yoga House?

There are many taxis available at the pier and we are also happy to assist you and book a taxi for you. It's only 5-10 mins from the pier.

 

Can I bring my children and is there childcare?
Yes, you can bring your children and we can help you organize childcare. There is a childcare called "playground" on the island which is very well organized.

What is the quality of food like on Koh Phangan?

Food is generally fresh, healthy, and plenty of restaurants offer vegetarian and vegan options, and - increasingly - some organic options. Many types of international cuisine can be found (one may find on our side of the island Thai, Israeli, French, Indian, some Japanese, etc.). 

Is there Internet access?

Yes, there is free wifi at The Yoga House.

Are spa treatments like massages available at The Yoga House?

There is no spa center at The Yoga House itself, but all over the island there are many massages (Thai massage, oil massage, sports massage etc.) available. We could also bring in a private masseur for you to receive massages at our center.

 

Are other holistic treatments available at The Yoga House?

We can recommend and organize holistic pracitioners for different energy treatments, Chi Nei Tsang massage, chrystal healing etc. 

 

Can I withdraw money easily on Koh Phangan?

There are many ATM machines on the island, the closest one is only a few minutes walk away.

How do I get around on the island during the retreat?

If you would like to explore the island on your own, motorbike rentals are available upon request for 150-200 THB a day. Car rental can also be organized for 800 THB a day. Shared taxis are available anytime. They charge in average around 150 THB per person, depending on the distance.
